The Art of Life
Photobucket I'm so glad you're here! "The Art of Life" is where I share my journey as an artist & Momma. It's a place where I hope to encourage other women that they are artists too. In this small little space I seek to share, document, and be reminded of God's wonderful grace, all around us. ....And I would be so happy to have you journey alongside me! So grab a cup of coffee and linger for a while. I hope you leave feeling refreshed. Photobucket

Memories and Good Friends

~~So much happened over the weekend; a lot of good and some really not so good. But I'm here on a beautiful Tuesday afternoon with a thankful heart.
~~One of the fun things from this weekend is that it was my 10 year highschool reunion. Wow! It was great to get to see people who I haven't seen in years. Great but strange. We're all adults now, most of us parents. I don't feel that old but when I look at my highschool yearbook from 10 years ago I just have to smile at the little girl I was back then.
~~One of the greatest things is that my very best friend was able to fly in from Florida for the reunion. She's one of those people who've seen me at my silliest, my best and my worst and still loves me through it. Even though we're not always so great about keeping in touch, when we get back together we just pick right back up where we left off.
~~She'll probably hate me for this but I had to compare pics of us from then and now.
Oh mercy!
Maybe growing up isn't such a bad thing, lol.

Happy Tuesday!

I've been wondering where you have been! Silly, but I have been missing your posts! ;)

My reunion is this weekend. I am a bit nervous about it all, but am looking forward to seeing some friends I haven't seen since the last day of school.

I feel like you, like I can't possibly be 28, but when I look back at the photos I was definitely young. I will probably do a reflection type post later in the week.

I have to say that you both are looking better with 10 yrs added to your age! Don't worry...you still looked great 10 yrs younger too!

Love the old pics. I think you both look better with age, just image how great you will look in ten more years. :)

I miss you! :(

Hi Kasie

I agree with the previous comments. When I looked at the photos I thought to myself that you two beautiful ladies look fantastic with 10 years added to you (not that you were not beautiful 10 years ago).

I've still kept yearbooks from my high school days and every now again and again pull them out.

Isn't it special to have a wonderful friendship, one that can withstand the tyranny of distance.

I hope you had a wonderful time at your ten year reunion.

Lots of love and hugs
Elise

Time marches on...wait until it's your 25th -- like me! But long term friendships are the best. I've known my best friend for 30+ years now, and most of them for more than a decade. Time really flies, so treasure every minute!

And I agree, you guys look great!

Oh gosh, I've totally tucked my high school photos away. I always cringe a bit when I go to my mum's and see my Yr 12 formal photo sitting up on the shelf for all to see!

I got an email about my high school reunion about 6 months ago. And it's not even until 2011!! I can't believe that someone would have to start planning it that early. That's just crazy.

But you two certainly don't look 10 years older, so it looks like the next 10 years are going to be just as good to you both!
