The Art of Life
Photobucket I'm so glad you're here! "The Art of Life" is where I share my journey as an artist & Momma. It's a place where I hope to encourage other women that they are artists too. In this small little space I seek to share, document, and be reminded of God's wonderful grace, all around us. ....And I would be so happy to have you journey alongside me! So grab a cup of coffee and linger for a while. I hope you leave feeling refreshed. Photobucket

From the Mouth of Babes

~~Savannah is always saying things that make me smile (or crack up laughing.) I love the 3 year old age. I want so much for her to stay my little baby but 3 year olds don't think that they're babies. Nope. They're Big Girls! At times, when she lets me hold her in my lap or crawls up in bed with me in the morning, she's still my baby. But then I watch her do something so big and "grown-up" and I realize how fast she's growing.
So I thought I'd share some of the fascinating things heard from our 3 year old:

"When I grow up, I want to be a mermaid!"
"Mommy, I lub (love) you. You don't have stinky breff. (breath) *Not sure where that came from!
"I can put my panties on myself 'cause I'm a grown-up."
"That's so cool!"
"I have germs in my nose and sometimes I pick them." *Sorry! She really said it!
"Mommy, you're my Best Fwiend! (friend)

When Tylor was four I gave him hot chocolate in a coffee cup and he said, "I can't have coffee Mommy, it will make me cough." :)

Awwww, that's so sweet. Three is a gorgeous age. Like you, I sometimes wish that time could stand still as I am enjoying the baby / toddler phase so much. But, I know as they grow up new and different joys will abound.

Lots of love and hugs

Keep jotting down those 'words of wisdom' and some of their crazy ideas. It's my biggest regret that I didn't capture some of those things that you just think you'll remember forever -- you don't!
