The Art of Life
Photobucket I'm so glad you're here! "The Art of Life" is where I share my journey as an artist & Momma. It's a place where I hope to encourage other women that they are artists too. In this small little space I seek to share, document, and be reminded of God's wonderful grace, all around us. ....And I would be so happy to have you journey alongside me! So grab a cup of coffee and linger for a while. I hope you leave feeling refreshed. Photobucket

Weekend recap

~~Well, I didn't get any painting done this weekend. I had a great excuse though! I was away Friday and Saturday morning on a women's retreat put on by my church. It was called the Gathering of Girlfriends and it was wonderful! The keynote speaker was Jennifer Rothschild. I was so deeply touched by her testimony. She discovered at the age of 15 that she had a degenerative eye disease. By the time she was 20 she was totally blind. But instead of letting her adversity become her enemy, she has made it her friend.
~~It was so nice to spend a little time away with a group of like-hearted women. I'm still trying to soak everything in. (And still catching up on sleep, lol. We stayed up way too late talking and laughing. It was such a nice time.)
~~Saturday the weather was amazing. We had to take advantage of it! So we packed up a picnic supper and went to the park. It's definitely fun to spend time away being refreshed but there's nothing in this world that I love more than spending time with my little family.
~~This week is already full! I have to finish this painting. This Thursday is the twice-yearly kid's consignment sale. I always sell and volunteer so I've got a lot to do to be ready.
And...
my baby girl's birthday is this Friday! So, I'd better get off this computer and get myself into gear!

Oh....would you believe that it's snowing this morning!? I'm not kidding! I took these pictures on Saturday and two days later it's snowing!
~~Have a super Monday!

Oh what fun! I can't believe this weather either! Yesterday I was planning flower beds and today we're thinking hot chocolate and sleds again. Who can know? :-) Have a great week!
