The Art of Life
Photobucket I'm so glad you're here! "The Art of Life" is where I share my journey as an artist & Momma. It's a place where I hope to encourage other women that they are artists too. In this small little space I seek to share, document, and be reminded of God's wonderful grace, all around us. ....And I would be so happy to have you journey alongside me! So grab a cup of coffee and linger for a while. I hope you leave feeling refreshed. Photobucket

Peace

~~Just popping in quickly to say "Hi!" I hope everyone had a nice weekend. The sick bug made it to our house on Saturday. We had been doing so well with staying well. Sierra woke up Saturday with a fever and was miserable all day. She was doing a bit better on Sunday and by evening she was pretty much back to her normal happy little chatty self. I knew she was feeling better when she started talking in run-on sentences again, lol.
~~I struggled with working on my new piece this weekend. I had it ready to start painting Saturday when I decided that the composition was wrong. Back to square one. But I got a lot of work in on Sunday evening and I'm almost ready to break the paints out now.
~~I'm still fighting some nervousness with this one. I think it's because I truly love the idea and I want it to turn out just perfect. Today on her blog, Kelly Rae posted this quote,
"you can't test courage cautiously" - annie dillard
I needed to read that.
Kelly creates beautiful art and writes incredibly heartfelt blogs. If you get a chance, check her out.
~~And wouldn't you know, my painting is actually about peace. This is the scripture that's been on my mind:
"Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid." John 14:27

**The canvas above hangs in my bathroom. I see it several times a day and I love the quiet reminder it gives. :)
