The Art of Life
Photobucket I'm so glad you're here! "The Art of Life" is where I share my journey as an artist & Momma. It's a place where I hope to encourage other women that they are artists too. In this small little space I seek to share, document, and be reminded of God's wonderful grace, all around us. ....And I would be so happy to have you journey alongside me! So grab a cup of coffee and linger for a while. I hope you leave feeling refreshed. Photobucket

Just keep swimming...

~~A little "Finding Nemo Inspiration" from Dory the fish. Don't laugh at me, I'm very sleep deprived!
~~It's been a bit tough around here. I was up most all of the night with a sick toddler. She threw up on me twice. We were running late for school and Sierra accidentally spilled chocolate milk all over herself and the floor. My face is sore and feels like sandpaper. It's what's left of the severe allergic reaction that I had this weekend. My whole face was swollen and red for 3 days. Ahhh well, at least I don't look like a chubby chinese girl today. I could give you more examples of craziness but I'll stop right there. It will get better!
~~Today I'm just taking it slow; catching up on laundry, paperwork, and wiping a little nose about every 5 minutes. She's surprisingly happy and active for being sick. I'm thinking that she might take a good nap today so hopefully I'll get some painting time in.
~~On another note; before all the face-swellling, throwing up action started, I got a lot of work done on our laundry/sun room. Dustin is going to be installing tile in there soon and we're going to turn it into a studio space for me. I'm getting excited. It's always been the most neglected room in the house. It leads to the backyard so it somehow became the "drop-off" room. Not anymore. I cleaned, sorted, organized and got rid of a bunch of stuff. Now I'm thinking about paint colors and decorations. Fun. It will be really nice this summer. There are windows all the way around so I'll be able to work and keep an eye on the girls while they play outside.
~~Well, I've got more work to get done. Just thought I'd check in. :)

Sorry to hear about the illness. It's not a fun time of year in that regard. And a studio, how fun! Can't wait to see the end product.
