The Art of Life
Photobucket I'm so glad you're here! "The Art of Life" is where I share my journey as an artist & Momma. It's a place where I hope to encourage other women that they are artists too. In this small little space I seek to share, document, and be reminded of God's wonderful grace, all around us. ....And I would be so happy to have you journey alongside me! So grab a cup of coffee and linger for a while. I hope you leave feeling refreshed. Photobucket

~~Today is going to be a busy, but fun day. Sierra has a fundraiser party in the morning and in the afternoon is her school Christmas/birthday party. Since her actual birthday is during Christmas break, she had the option of celebrating today or when they get back. Of course she couldn't wait that long, lol. Dustin and the girls made strawberry cupcakes last night and I'll be bringing them up to the school later.
~~Can you believe that Christmas is almost here! I'm not doing too bad. Most all of the shopping is done and I've stayed fairly stress-free. I was just feeling so tired yesterday. Even though I had a lot of things to do, I needed to take some time for art. There was a snow angel dancing around in my head and I had to get her out, lol. I did a pencil sketch, scanned it in, and then colored it with Photoshop. Please excuse the ugly watermark. I've actually had some of my artwork show up on other sites recently, which is not cool. I'm not talking about someone linking to me. That would be okay. But claiming my work as your own isn't right. It's stealing.
Okay, I'm off my soapbox now. :)
~~I truly hope everyone is having a joyous and peaceful season. When I start feeling stressed I have to remind myself of the true meaning of Christmas. It isn't presents or baking or making things perfect. It's about celebrating our Saviour's birth and spending time with family and friends. When I remember that, I just feel warm and fuzzy inside!

I love the picture. I can't believe(or I can but it makes me sad) that anyone would STEAL your art. Shame on them.

Thanks for the reminder of what the season is all about.

Wow, gorgeous illustration! I have never been able to sit down and do one.

How do you find where people are posting your work?

I can see why they would want to claim your artwork as their own but am sorry it happens! I just love the snow angel. You have such an adorable style!! Have a very Merry Christmas!!

What a cutie! Looks like you've been using your in-house models. ;)

It's hard to believe people steal art. How can people possibly think that's a good idea?

Merry Christmas!

This is beautiful, Kasie!!!!

Thanks for reminding us what Christmas is about. I was really stressed today because I wanted everything "perfect". Well everything isn't going to be done but that's just okay, right?
