The Art of Life
Photobucket I'm so glad you're here! "The Art of Life" is where I share my journey as an artist & Momma. It's a place where I hope to encourage other women that they are artists too. In this small little space I seek to share, document, and be reminded of God's wonderful grace, all around us. ....And I would be so happy to have you journey alongside me! So grab a cup of coffee and linger for a while. I hope you leave feeling refreshed. Photobucket

Balanced To Do

~~I got the idea for the "Balanced To Do List" from the amazingly creative Auntie Pea.This is actually just a snip-it of my to do list for the week. The real one is much longer.
~~We had a great weekend. The weather was beautiful. Saturday afternoon we took the girls to lunch at Chick-fil-a and then to the park. They played some, we took a walk, fed the geese, and then got icecream from the icecream truck. (That's always exciting to little ones!)
~~I ran 12 miles yesterday afternoon. We're 2 weeks out from the race and I've come to the taper point in my training. It will only be small, short runs from here on out. Hallelujah to that because 12 miles hurt!!
~~Well, as you can see, I have a lot to do and it's going to be a busy week. I'm starting it with a pumpkin spice cappuccino and I'm ready to get rolling!

How do you stay motivated with running? I seem to hit the wall at 3 miles and can't find the way to keep on going. I once did four miles.

I honestly get discouraged with how I seem to struggle with running sometimes. The thing I struggle with the most is my breathing. I don't think I have a normal lung capacity or something.
Having the race to look forward to has been great for motivation. I know that I have to get out there or I won't be ready.
I love doing about a 3 mile run. That's a great length and actually fun.
The longer distances can be hard on me. Running 12 yesterday kicked my behind! I would still call myself a beginner runner!
