The Art of Life
Photobucket I'm so glad you're here! "The Art of Life" is where I share my journey as an artist & Momma. It's a place where I hope to encourage other women that they are artists too. In this small little space I seek to share, document, and be reminded of God's wonderful grace, all around us. ....And I would be so happy to have you journey alongside me! So grab a cup of coffee and linger for a while. I hope you leave feeling refreshed. Photobucket

My Little Running Buddy!

~~Well, Fall crept in during the night and I'm loving it! We woke up to a crisp, cool, beautiful morning. I took Savannah on a run with me. It's the first time I've ever done that (thanks to scoring an awesome jogging stroller at the consignment sale. :) Wow, it was a totally different experience. The stroller is very light and so is Savannah, but it was still so much harder than running on my own. I was a tad bit nervous this morning, or maybe I should say extra cautious. Since my last run, a woman was hit by a car on the very same route that I usually always run. She survived but was badly injured. They say that thankfully, she didn't hit her head or else she probably would have been killed. I always try to be very aware of my surroundings when I run, but having my little munchkin with me today made me very aware of the cars.
~~I think she makes a prettty cool little running partner, don't you? It was nice to have some company, even if our conversation only consisted of things like, "I see a kitty cat," or "Ooooh, I hear a doggy!"

~~Just like everyone else, I can't help but think about 9/11 today. It's so hard to believe that 6 years have passed since that day. It's one of those moments that is seared into my memory so clearly. I was pregnant with Sierra and that day I was suddenly terrified at the thought of bringing a child into this new, unsure world. Now, I have 2 precious children and I'm having to learn to trust them into God's hands. Our world is still so unsure, but I know that He is never-changing and faithful.

~~Well, this beautiful weather is inspiring me to get moving. I hope you all have a wonderful day!

I've always thought I would get one of those stroller things when my time for a kiddo came. I'm glad to hear they work pretty well.

I started running again last week. Slowly but surely I"ll build miles up again. I don't think I'll be ready for a 1/2 or anything but a few 5k's in the next months would be nice!

That's great Misti! I think 5k's are fun. To be honest, I'm a bit nervous about the thought of the Half!

I have had to do the same by giving my complete trust to Him as well :) everyday. Thank you for sharing your faith.
