The Art of Life
Photobucket I'm so glad you're here! "The Art of Life" is where I share my journey as an artist & Momma. It's a place where I hope to encourage other women that they are artists too. In this small little space I seek to share, document, and be reminded of God's wonderful grace, all around us. ....And I would be so happy to have you journey alongside me! So grab a cup of coffee and linger for a while. I hope you leave feeling refreshed. Photobucket

Enthusiasm

~~I am a Christian: Not because of anything I've done, but because Christ died for us all and I accepted His gift with open arms. But my belief has nothing to do with judging or pointing fingers at anyone else. It is about a joy that fills me to overflowing; a peace that anchors me when times are hard. I will not compromise my beliefs or back down when challenged, but at the same time I would never force my beliefs on anyone else. Instead, it is my hope that my life will be a witness to others that hope truly exists; that you don't have to wander through your life wondering what your purpose is. It is my hope that the friendships and connections I make with others will be strong and true and that they will know that I really do care. It has just been a burden on my heart to put that out there today: To let you all know that I'm always glad to chat through an email or share a prayer request with you.
~~Something I believe with all my heart is that God is a personal God. He isn't some untouchable being "way out there." He's here, near us, wanting to speak and guide us through our days. I'm learning that if I truly train myself to listen, I can see threads throughout my day; little strands all connecting. Some might call them coincidence but I choose to see it as synchronicity. God speaking.
~~Recently I've been picking up on the words "passion" and "enthusiasm." This morning I was reading an excerpt from a book by Jack White. He's an artist and an amazingly wise man. (I've read his first book.) He was saying that the one ingredient you must have to make it as an artist is passion. The chapter I'm on in The Artist's Way right now is speaking about enthusiasm. Julia Cameron says "Enthusiasm is not an emotional state. It's a spiritual commitment, a loving surrender to our creative process." In the car today, the song said, "Whatever happened to a passion I could live for? What became of the flame that made me feel more?"
~~Hmmm. Passion. Enthusiasm. Am I living my life with passion? Am I enthusiastic about my life?
~~And speaking of passion...I just have to say how much I love this guy. I truly believe that he is a blessing from God just for me.
He was talking to me today about my art and he had such a sparkle in his eyes and a big grin. His enthusiasm floors me. He believes in me more than I could ever believe in myself. Thank you Baby. :)
ETA: Something exciting happened for me today. Can you guess what it is? *Hint: the answer is somewhere on my blog. Smiles everyone!

Aww, cute family! :)

I'm trying to figure out your exciting thing but I'm failing! :( I need to pull out my Artists Way and start morning pages again. I've got a new journal and it is itching to be used!

Thanks Misti!

Okay, another hint: It has to do with numbers. (and it's probably not exciting to anyone else but me,lol!)
