The Art of Life
Photobucket I'm so glad you're here! "The Art of Life" is where I share my journey as an artist & Momma. It's a place where I hope to encourage other women that they are artists too. In this small little space I seek to share, document, and be reminded of God's wonderful grace, all around us. ....And I would be so happy to have you journey alongside me! So grab a cup of coffee and linger for a while. I hope you leave feeling refreshed. Photobucket

Color loving

~I'm still here, just very, very tired. My littlest baby girl has been sick all weekend which means neither of us has gotten very much sleep. She started getting sick on Friday but I didn't realize it in time to get her in to the doctor. We will definitely be going tomorrow.
~~I know I'm biased, but she really is such a sweetie. Even when she's miserable she is still so polite. To everything we ask her she replies either "No tank(thank)you," or "Yes, pweese(please)." She's had high fevers off and on and just wants to be held so I've taken advantage of the snuggling time. Normally she never holds still. Even as bad as she felt today, she insisted on wearing her pink ballerina tutu because she wanted to be a "pwincess." I love the 2 year old stage.
~~I recently found the neatest web site. You may have already heard of it but it was news to me. It is called Colourlovers and it is a feast for the eyes. It is free to become a member and members can upload their own palettes of color. You can also download other member's palettes. They have a trends section where they analayze the colors of popular websites and magazines. They also have a blog where they talk about color. One of the recent posts was all about butterflies and it showed color swatches from different species. Very interesting.
~~I am hoping to get started on a new piece this week but I've got to catch up on some sleep first. At this point my brain is only operating on the minimum level, lol! Not a good way to be inspired.

That reminds me of a story. When my youngest sister was about that age, she had to have surgery on her neck. It was really horrible for her. (It was pretty traumatizing for the rest of us to see her stitches & my parents clean them!)

When she woke up in the hospital, the doctor came in to brief my parents. As he was leaving, my little sister managed to squeak out amid tears of pain, "Tank you, docker."

I'm now addicted to your blogs of inspriration, Kasie.....check it everyday.

I'm glad you found the "Colourlovers" website. I am currently doing a color study to teach my students in the fall and this website will fall in place along with it! THANKS!

~That's a cute story Jordan! Savannah says some of the cutest words lately and I know I should probably help her learn the correct way...but her way is just too cute, lol!

~Wow! Thanks Valerie! Sometimes I don't feel like I'm very inspiring, lol. Just sharing my silly thoughts and stories. Isn't that a neat website though?
