The Art of Life
Photobucket I'm so glad you're here! "The Art of Life" is where I share my journey as an artist & Momma. It's a place where I hope to encourage other women that they are artists too. In this small little space I seek to share, document, and be reminded of God's wonderful grace, all around us. ....And I would be so happy to have you journey alongside me! So grab a cup of coffee and linger for a while. I hope you leave feeling refreshed. Photobucket

The Best Laid Plans......

~~Well, today was not the start that I wanted. Not at all. I worked really hard last night to do everything I could to make this morning go easy. I got the clothes ready. Packed the diaper bag. Got a start on breakfast. I woke up early this morning so that I could have some time to go over my lessons. I planned to get to church early so that I wouldn't feel stressed. I thought I had it all under control. But when I went to wake Sierra up, I found out that she was sick. My poor Girlie! She woke me up 4 times last night, which was very unusual, but she wasn't sick during the night. It was just little things like wanting some water or going to the bathroom. I did remember thinking in the night that it was strange for her to wake up so much. I guess she was beginning to feel bad.
~~So I had to figure out a plan...and quick! There was no way that I could just not go because I'm co-teaching a class. I talked with my sister and was very thankful that she was able to come over and stay with Sierra. (Thanks Lins!) Savannah and I rushed off to church, just a little bit late. So much for not starting out feeling stressed! I'm not sure what Sierra has. She feels just fine when her fever breaks, but then suddenly she'll feel bad again. I am just praying that she will be able to get better soon. She loves Vacation Bible school. I'm also having to remind myself that God has promised not to give us more than we can bear.....because my nervousness is trying to get the better of me!
~~I'll have to bring my camara and get some pictures this week. But since I don't have anything to post today, I want to suggest that you head on over to Maggie's blog and read her awesome post called "How to Smack Self Doubt with a Wet Noodle." Really good stuff!
And we will see what tomorrow brings.

Oh! Sick kids are no fun . . . especially little ones. I hope Sierra's feeling better today -and you too.
