There is a saying in Oklahoma: "If you don't like the weather, wait 5 minutes." Sometimes I think that is the absolute truth! We had the most beautiful weather last weekend. This weekend it is bitterly cold. Yesterday it snowed!
Last night we dyed Easter eggs with the girls. They had so much fun making their beautiful creations!
This morning we all bundled up and went to the big Easter egg hunt at the park. It was a bit unusual to see all the kids hunting eggs in their heavy coats and gloves. The sun came out and it ended up being warmer than expected. There was an obstacle course, a moon bounce, and fun games for the kids.
I love doing special things with the girls that will be good memories for them when they are older. It has been fun to see how excited Savannah has been getting. I really love the age she is at right now. We have been talking with Sierra about the true meaning of Easter. She is still a bit young to understand but she loves Jesus and knows that it is a special day for Him.
Savannah, however, saw my Easter cake in the kitchen and started singing "Happy Birthday!"
