The Art of Life
Photobucket I'm so glad you're here! "The Art of Life" is where I share my journey as an artist & Momma. It's a place where I hope to encourage other women that they are artists too. In this small little space I seek to share, document, and be reminded of God's wonderful grace, all around us. ....And I would be so happy to have you journey alongside me! So grab a cup of coffee and linger for a while. I hope you leave feeling refreshed. Photobucket

Busy Weekend!

~~We have already had a busy but fun weekend and it isn't even over yet. Our town is celebrating 89er's Day. It's a holiday to mark the Land Run of 1889. Since Guthrie was the original capital of Oklahoma, it really goes all out with a parade, carnival, rodeo and more.
~~Last night we hopped on our bikes and rode around downtown. There was lots to see and the girls just love to ride bikes. In the picture we are standing in front of one of the neat prairie reenactments. Today we went to the big parade. I have pictures, but my camara batteries are charging now so I'll post them later. Some friends met us at the parade and the kids had a blast waving and running after candy. Dustin and I are both originally from Guthrie. I lived in Alabama for a while growing up, but he has lived here his entire life. I think we often take for granted how unique our town is. I found this really neat video clip about Guthrie. More Than Brick and Mortar.
~~Have a wonderful weekend!
